Q: What was your first form of social media?
A: My first social media that I signed up for was MySpace and AOL/AIM if that counts as one haha. I loved being able to add music and be more creative on my profile. We were connected enough with our friends to have fun and not have to talk on the phone but disconnected enough to enjoy our lives (miss that the most).
Q: Do you remember your first phone?
A: My first cell phone was in 6th grade for security purposes, and it was a Samsung Intensity slider cell phone. I was always jealous of my brothers Razor, but I loved a cell phone with a full keyboard.
Q: What's the best advice you've ever received?
A: A teacher of mine would ask me “in a year, will it matter?” whenever I would get stressed about grades or other things in my life. It helped put things into perspective about what I should and shouldn't give my energy to.
Q: What was your favorite tv show growing up?
A: Totally spies.
Q: Anything else you would like to say about 30 Under 30?
A: Being recognized for the 30 under 30 campaign is a testament to the unique journeys we have all embarked upon. I have always been fascinated by how technology plays a role in our day to day, which is part of why I chose a career within IT. While the generation before us had limited exposure to technology and the generation after us is immersed in it, we find ourselves in a unique position. We have grown up with a combination of both worlds, allowing us to navigate the digital landscape while appreciating the value of real-world connections and experiences. This balance becomes our advantage as we embark on the path ahead.

I started in April 2023. In my few short months I've been here, I feel like I've been here for years. The inclusive culture is captivating and contagious.
Q: What was your first form of social media?
A: My first form of social media was Xanga. Now that is truly putting me at the top of the 30 under 30 bracket. Why on Earth did I spend hours writing paragraph after paragraph about my middle school day?! Maybe I was more fascinated in the coding aspect when I figured out how to change the background, add music, and my favorite part…make little icons rain down the page.
Q: Do you remember your first phone?
A: I was in 8th grade when my parents finally decided to allow me to have a cell phone. Nothing special about a standard flip phone, but it was still a cell phone. The caveat…I had to share it with my 6th grade little brother. Also, I wasn't allowed to text because that cost extra. 10 cents to send, 25 cents to receive. My dad wasn't too happy when he got texting charges…
Q: What's the best advice you've ever received?
A: "…and have fun” – don't you remember growing up and parents, coaches, teachers, even friends would encourage you to do your best at something challenging and have fun while doing it. I've always been a serious, follow the rules, do my best kind of girl but in doing so I always had fun. As I get older, I find that the fun part is the better advice of the phrase. It was always a reminder that was needed and is still needed at any age. Do your best and have fun!
Q: What was your favorite tv show growing up?
A: I loved Full House. I would get home from school and instantly turn it on.

Q: What was your first form of social media?
A: Facebook – I was so excited that my parents finally let me get one that I rushed through creating a profile and my name for about a month was Matt Mastian until FB let me change it.
Q: Do you remember your first phone?
A: The Pantech Duo!!!! Thing was sick. You could slide it one way for the number buttons to make a call, or slide it the other way for a full keyboard to text. My favorite phone ever though was the Voyager. Touch Screen and giant keyboard for texting. Thing was the GOAT.
Q: What's the best advice you've ever received?
A: If you want to have fun – you have to put in the Un-Fun. Very simple but I still go by this. To be the best or to be successful you need to sacrifice and put in the time and effort to get there. Earn it!
Q: What was your favorite tv show growing up?
A: Easily SpongeBob. My mom, my siblings and I still quote SpongeBob to this day when we are all together.

Q: What was your first form of social media?
A: My first form of social media was a Facebook account. My Mom forbid me from having one when I was in high school, so I created one and hid it for a few years. I only got caught when I friended my cousin, but thankfully it wasn't a big deal then!
Q: Do you remember your first phone?
A: My first cell phone was a Samsung Slide phone that could only make phone calls because I didn't have texting on my parent's plan! I had that phone for a few years until one day it fell out of my backpack when getting on the bus and got caught in a rainstorm. It still worked for about 6 more months and then it broke. My parents were not very happy!
Q: What's the best advice you've ever received?
A: I think the best advice I have ever received would have to be to always treat those around you with twice the respect they give you, and to always be as kind as possible. Even through the roughest spots in my short life so far, I have tried to keep this in the back of my head. Doing this has gotten me this far, so I definitely plan on continuing it!
Q: What was your favorite tv show growing up?
A: Hands down, MythBusters!
Q: Anything else you would like to say about 30 under 30?
A: Having this showcase for the younger talent in the Direct Mail Industry proves that the new generation of professionals are moving into the sector. It is especially refreshing to see since the DM industry is known for having a higher average age among professionals.
