West Deptford, NJ – As Hurricane Harvey dumped historic amounts of rain on the city of Houston and surrounding areas, University of Houston basketball coach Kelvin Sampson tweeted a request to the country. He asked coaches at all levels of basketball to send whatever clothing they can to aid those in need as Tropical Storm Harvey soaks the Texas coast. Coach Sampson’s tweet to his fellow coaches went viral, and hundreds of organizations have responded to his request.
“ICS Corporation is proud to be able to help others in times of need.” stated ICS President Matthew Bastian. “Coach Sampson’s request was a simple one, and it resonated with many of us. We have customers in Houston, and know how their employees are suffering. Many of our own employees have family and friends impacted by this huge storm.”
ICS employees gathered 67 t-shirts of various sizes and sent them to Coach Sampson. “It was the least we could do.” said Bastian. “Like most companies, we have various items left over from different company events. It’s great that they can go to help someone.”
It's good to talk. We'd love to learn more about you and how we can help!
