This demanding examination was performed by 360 Advanced, a respected national Qualified Security Assessor and Certified Public Accounting firm based in Tampa, FL.
HIPAA is a federal law that mandates national standards to protect sensitive patient health information from being disclosed without the patient’s consent or knowledge. “As ICS continues to expand the industries that we serve, it is imperative that we ensure that we are protecting the information of our clients,” commented Dennis Fish, Director of Technology and Compliance at ICS. “As a steward of our client’s data, protecting sensitive assets is critical to our ability to provide superior data processing, print and lettershop services. The services performed were an assessment of internal controls in place to satisfy the Omnibus Final Security Rule governing “protected health information” that the Department of Health and Human Services issued in January 2013. This compliance assessment involved understanding Print and Mail services provided by ICS, and documenting and verifying the safeguards in place to meet the relevant aspects of the Omnibus final rule on behalf of covered entities who maintain health information within ICS’ software and facility.
