ICS Corporation Increases Printing Capacity by 60% through Expanded Ricoh & EMT Partnership

West Deptford, New Jersey - ICS Corporation is thrilled to announce a significant advancement in its printing capabilities through a recently expanded partnership with Ricoh. The company recently installed a state-of-the-art Ricoh Pro VC40000 with MICR (Live Check) capabilities and new EMT finishing equipment. This cutting-edge Ricoh Pro VC40000 will replace a Color Duplex IP5000, marking a transformative leap forward for ICS' VDC room and overall operations.

The introduction of an additional Ricoh Pro VC40000 represents ICS’ commitment to enhancing print quality, improving processing, maintaining exceptional color consistency, and expanding its partnership with Ricoh and EMT. “We worked with the ICS and Ricoh teams to design and implement a combination of our high-speed RFX unwind/rewind systems with enhanced Chameleon perf/punch capabilities to maximize the production of the digital print platform at ICS,” says Mike Herold, EVP of Marketing and Sales at EMT.“ EMT International recognizes that ICS is a leading provider of Direct Marketing services not only in the Mid-Atlantic region but across the country as well. So, when we were given the opportunity to participate in ICS’ continued transformation as an organization, we jumped at the chance.”

The Ricoh Pro VC40000 operates at 580 feet per minute, improving and streamlining our live check printing process.  This summer, Ricoh will return to upgrade both Ricoh Pro VC40000s to operate at an impressive speed of 738 feet per minute, further elevating capacity while maintaining exceptional quality standards. “Our partnership with ICS allows for co-innovation in solving challenges in their print environment,” said Mark Little, Sr. Director of Global Product Marketing for Ricoh. “These latest speed enhancements will allow for more efficient production and pave the way for future capacity for growth at ICS, which now operates one of the fastest MICR printers in the world.”

In addition to the printers, ICS has invested in an InkJet Cutsheet device, the Kyocera TASKAlfa, complemented by Ricoh's Color Management Consulting Team. This investment ensures seamless color matching and quality consistency across digital presses, enabling the utilization of the cutsheet device for sample runs, small jobs, and reprints while maintaining the optimal performance of roll-to-roll machines. “We are always excited to have new additions in our print room, but we are just as excited about the opportunity to utilize Ricoh’s color management platform and consultative workflow solutions to marry our data programming, quality control, and variable data center,” said David Neff, President.

"This investment in technology signifies our commitment to increasing quality and consistency throughout our printing fleet," remarked Matthew Bastian Jr., Director of Print Services at ICS Corporation. "We are immensely excited about the acquisition of this new equipment and the impact it will have on our operations and our ability to meet the evolving needs of our customers."

The integration of Ricoh's innovative solutions underscores ICS’ commitment to remaining at the forefront of the printing industry, driving efficiency, quality, and customer satisfaction.
